Here you can apply for an affiliation or link exchange with Phoenix Tearz. Before applying for either, please read the rules and guidelines listed below: trust me, I'll be able to tell if you didn't! ;)

About Affiliation:

Point #1: I take affiliation seriously. I keep in touch with my affiliates regularly, and I try to pick affiliates based on two things: how well I think we'll get along (after all, I want to enjoy keeping in touch with my affiliates,) and how much effort he/she puts into his/her site.

Point #2: I don't just accept anyone for affiliation; because of this, I recently decided that anyone who is rejected for affiliation will automatically be added to my link exchange page. I feel bad turning people's requests down; so this is my way of making up for that.

Affiliation Rules:


  1. You must have a unique style to your site: I want to see original coding, graphics, etc.
  2. You must speak English fairly well, and not use too must chat speak in your blogs- your posts have to be easily readable.
  3. On your blog, you must have a way for me to return comments: be it HaloScan, Cutenews, Wordpress, Greymatter, etc. Tagboards and shout boxes do not count. This also, of course, means you must have a blog.
  4. Your site must be compatible in Firefox: as this is the browser I use, I will make absolutely no exceptions on this rule!
  5. Before or after applying/receiving my response you must link Phoenix Tearz (by text link or button link) on your sidebar/etc. so that my link appears on every page of your site.
  6. If my link is taken down, I will notify you. If it is taken down again, you will have a second chance to put it up; but if it is taken down a third time, I will take your link off my site.
  7. Absolutely no hate/porn/racist/etc. sites. Also, if I know you've copied severely from one site (even if that site is not affiliated with me) you will not be accepted, and will be taken down from my affiliation list. *
  8. If you apply for affiliation, you hereby understand that this means you will be expected to visit my site regularly and comment on my blog posts and help bring more hits to this site. I will, of course, do the same things for you and your site. If you fail to maintain any kind of contact with me, you will be taken off of my affiliates list and put on my link exchange page.
  9. I am, at this time, only accepting affiliates that really catch my eye. So if I reject your affiliation request, you should know that it is in no way a personal offense.

* Just because you've been accused of copying/stealing from other sites does no mean I will take your link down/not accept your application; I actually have to see for myself, and then decide if I agree with the claim or not. If I don't, nothing will happen.

Link Exchange Rules:


  1. If you are rejected for affiliation, you will automatically be added to my link exchange page! Unless, of course, you don't want to be added make sure you let me know! I can't read minds, after all.
  2. In general, rules for Exchanges are less strict. The only point I really enforce is that your site not be a hate/porn/racist etc. site. It has to be Firefox and IE compatible. That's about it. As long as I find nothing offensive about your site, I will add it to my link exchanges page.
  3. You understand that, by apply for an exchange instead of affiliation, your link will not be visible from my main page, and I expect you to do the same. I have a separate page for my link exchanges, which I have linked at the bottom of every page of my site.

Info For Affiliation and Link Exchanges:

I will, of course, notify you if your site has been accepted/rejected. I will reply to your email request. If you've been accepted I will add you within a few days - you must do the same. If you've been rejected, I will let you know that you are being added to my link exchange page. I'd appreciate it if you'd do the same for me- but it isn't necessary. :)

Ready? One more thing...

Know that not all applications will be accepted. This isn't anything personal; it isn't because I dislike your site, or you, or anything along those lines: I can't accept everyone who applies, because affiliation is basically free advertising, and while I don't like having to reject some people, that's just how it works.
